Katherine Szarama Takes Over as Acting Director of FDA’s CBER

Katherine Szarama has been named the acting director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER).

She previously served as deputy to Vinay Prasad, who held the director position before her.

Szarama joined the FDA last year and is now stepping into this leadership role at a crucial time for the agency.
